Limited funds are available to provide reasonable accommodations to faculty, staff and visiting or guest lecturers who need adaptive aids, assistive technology or other reasonable accommodations. These funds are meant to supplement departmental efforts. Accommodation requests for employees should be made through the official process. Once a determination has been made as to the appropriate accommodation, requests will automatically be considered for funding. For non-employee guest speakers/lecturers accommodations requests should be sent to Angela Winfield, Director of Inclusion and Workforce Diversity at email@example.com.
Funds are available for accommodations approved or implemented after July 1. No retroactive reimbursements will be considered. Funds are not available to purchase basic/standard ergonomic equipment such as sit-stand desks or to make physical improvements or modifications to building structures. These items should be funded through the department/unit or other alternative means.
