Dean's Scholars Pinning Ceremony

  • This event will be taking place on Zoom, 120 Physical Sciences Building

We invite all new and continuing Graduate School Dean's Scholars and other members of the community to join us for the 2020 Graduate School Dean's Scholars Pinning Ceremony and the reception to follow.

October 21, 5-7:00pm

This event is an annual fall tradition where the Graduate School publicly recognizes and celebrates the Dean’s Scholars for their academic achievements, commitment to excellence, and potential for making meaningful contributions to their respective disciplines. The Dean’s Scholars pin has a round center of gold with the Cornell seal, which is surrounded by an outer ring of silver. The silver represents the persistence of the scholars whereas the gold represents their achievement.

This is a family friendly event, and is open to all members of the community who would like to join us in celebrating our new and continuing Graduate School Dean's Scholars!

Graduate School Deans Scholars are recipients of one of the following fellowships in support of diversity: Deans Excellence Fellowship, Deans McNair Fellowship, Deans Mellon Mays Fellowship, SUNY Graduate Diversity Fellowship, McNair SUNY Graduate Diversity Fellowship, Mellon Mays SUNY Graduate Diversity Fellowship, Cornell IMSD Program, Provost Diversity Fellowship, Cornell Colman Fellowship, Cornell Sloan Fellowship, and/or the Cornell GEM Ph.D. Fellowship.
