Edna's Short Bio:

Edna Lizbeth Chavez is a social justice activist, supporter of immigrant rights, and a survivor of gun violence, who in 2018, headlined and delivered a powerful speech at the March for Our Lives rally in Washington, D.C. Born and raised in South Central Los Angeles, Edna is a student at CSULA majoring in Sociology. She is also an alumna of Community Coalition’s youth program, South Central Youth Empowered through Action (SCYEA), a program that focuses on developing the next generation of leaders and empowering Black and Brown youth in South Central to push for policy changes that benefit their community. She plans on continuing to advocate for social change by using her story and experience to bring light to the injustices faced by her community.
